Wandering through forests and meadows, over mountains and along coasts, while the landscape unrolls as a movie in slowmotion, I’m getting fascinated by spaces and objects influenced by the present light.
With my camera I cut out those parts from the natural surroundings. Even in the middle of the night, when light is scarce and the impressions are like memories of day-time, I will stop and open my camera and wait in silence.
I will show intimate impressions, indefinite views, sometimes decorative details, without documenting the reality of the landscape. It is the fixed view, the cut-out and the light that causes the emotional load and reflects the relation between me and nature.
